The Generative Lab is ISHLVLSTUDIOS' research and development division dedicated to building original intellectual property through creative direction, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. From editorial publications and luxury brand concepts to AI artists and cultural research projects, every idea begins with storytelling before evolving through research, concept development, generative imaging, filmmaking, creative coding, UX/UI design, front-end development, and editorial production.
Built through a human-led creative process, the Lab uses artificial intelligence as a creative instrument rather than a replacement for authorship. Every image, film, publication, website, and digital experience is developed with intention, ensuring technology always serves the creative vision—not the other way around.
An ongoing study of late-1980s New York City, 1988 explores the intersection of historical research, generative photography, AI-assisted filmmaking, and cinematic storytelling. Each scene is developed through extensive visual reference, period research, and world-building to reconstruct the neighborhoods, architecture, fashion, advertising, and everyday moments that defined the era. Rather than recreating nostalgia, 1988 builds an original visual archive that demonstrates how contemporary creative technologies can preserve cultural memory through immersive storytelling and documentary-inspired image making.
Developed as a luxury eyewear concept, Cynthia Tracy explores how emerging technologies can support a complete brand-building process—from original sketches and product visualization to advertising campaigns, brand campaigns, and editorial imagery. Every collection is approached as a unified design system where product, identity, and storytelling evolve together. The project combines creative direction, AI-assisted visualization, luxury product design, campaign development, and visual storytelling to demonstrate a contemporary workflow for building both a product and the creative world surrounding it.
Built as an AI storytelling publication, SPACE explores contemporary fashion, architecture, music, design, and the creative ideas shaping culture through original editorial features. Each issue combines original writing, creative direction, photography, generative imagery, filmmaking, publication design, and front-end web development to create thoughtful editorial experiences that extend beyond traditional publishing. From editorial research and visual development to the digital experience at 001SPACE.com, SPACE demonstrates how human-led creative direction and artificial intelligence can work together to produce original editorial publications where storytelling, design, and technology exist as one cohesive vision.
Created as an AI artist and music producer, Chevon explores a world-building approach to contemporary music through the intersection of sound, visual identity, and cinematic storytelling. Original music production, songwriting, AI-generated performances, editorial photography, campaign imagery, filmmaking, web design, and creative direction are developed simultaneously to establish a complete artistic identity before commercial release. The project combines AI music production, artist development, visual identity, advertising campaigns, editorial direction, and digital experiences into a unified creative ecosystem. Every song, film, photograph, and interaction contributes to a single narrative, culminating in the dedicated artist experience at ChevonBKNY.com and demonstrating how human-led creative direction and emerging technologies can shape the development of a contemporary recording artist.
